The best thing about Lewes is the beach.  From the Delaware Bay down to the Lewes Beach around Cape Henlopen past Rehoboth and Dewey and ending on the white sands of Bethany and Fenwick, Delaware boasts some of the most beautiful and diverse beaches on the East Coast.
	Lewes, protected by Cape Henlopen, offers gentle waves for a relaxing family time.  Cape Henlopen with its pristine dunes is great for nature walks and is great for fishermen.
Rehoboth has an old fashioned wooden boardwalk, perfect for a family outing.  Dewey is for the more adventurous and home to a boogie board competition.  The beaches around the Indian River Inlet offers great surfing, but be sure to check the wave reports.  So whether you want solitude or exciting nightlife, Delaware's beaches has a little something for everyone.
